I mostly use the home page (portal) which shows all recent posts, as I'm a fairly frequent visitor
If I've been away for a few days and need to catch up, I use the New Posts link and work my way through that to catch up.
I very rarely use the forum categories pages - that's probably just me

The second design is much better than the first IMO. As was mentioned, the first one seemed disjointed.
In my opinion, I think you'd be well served looking at styling an unordered list for the top menu items, rather than using images.

Also, how about running a little competition (for fun) to design a new RC Heli Addict logo - open competition for anyone to have a go, you select your favourite ten (or whatever) and then put it to the public vote for the winner?

I have no problem with other members coming up with a new logo idea. As long as thier are no hidden message in the background aka 3DX rocks!! and alike. (lol)

Do we need a thread for it or do members just want to attach thier idea's to this thread.

Bottom Left of the page Kevin there is a box which is probably set at default, you have a drop down option. select V1 for the new skin.
