Being disappointed with the vague, lackluster performance of my 450 pro it didn't get flown much. So last week I decided to have a close look at it and replace the AR7200BX with a VXn at the same time. First thing I noticed on strip down was that the DS410 servos were shot to s**t with excessive rotational play on all three and two had a lot of lateral play on the output shaft, not good for units that only have around 35 flight on them. Welcome to the bin boys!
So changes the servos for a set of Turnigy S306G-HV's, zipped through the VXn set up and decided to try it on Sport to start with, managed to take advantage of the great weather yesterday and got myself down the field with 8 fully charged packs and WOW! What a transformation it's now very responsive and much more punchy making you feel a lot more connected. Loved it!
Only downside is that I'm guessing a bit as to how much influence each change has had. Either way I can wholeheartedly recommend both the Vortex VXn and the S306G-HV servos.
