I'd fxed up the 500 after it's last ding when a tail grip bolt fractured. And you'ld think i;d know better by now..
Just as well i always give the taila waggle before lift-off 'cso i;d assembled trailign dge control instead of the previous leading edge control: would have been interestig..
I fixed all that up with ample locktight and had a break while it set up a bit.
Checked everything and took off. I minute later all heck breaks loose as I lose the tail in two ways. I grabbed height in the spin, hit TH, went for more height and suddenly realised i can see the seperate blades Duh!.. drop collective but not so far as to get drag then full positive 6feet from the ground when th blades had finally spun up and a gentle bounce on the gorillas. No damage.
Yes I'd checked everything except for the new factory assebled pitch slider and lost a screw and link there and i;d forgotton to put back my antirotation screw at the front so the bom had backed out a bit and tail was horizontal. Stll it ws a great auto.

This time it's the grubscrew from tail hub to output shaft. Now i know i was careful with that and it did have locktight but it must have felt more snugged up than it was. Hub was spinnign on the shaft.
