Royal Fail. What a complete bunch of $@** Wits

Where do Royal screw up get off with the fifteen day clause?......... Two events in the last 2 weeks, one my Dad was nice enough to send me a big cheque (standard size, but the amount was big.....) but it never got here even 3 weeks later, so had to take him to the bank to cancel the cheque.

I ordered £11 worth of stuff from FL, they promise me it was sent last Monday, but they won't do anything until this magical 15 days has passed, and I wasn't gonna use registered for an £11 Jiffy envelope.

Just spent about an hour trying to find out what I can do and basically nada, they don't give a sh*t

I reckon it's about time the big heli shops boycotted Royal Fail to send a message to these idiots that this level of service is simply unaaceptable. From now on, regardless of what it is, I would rather pay to ensure it gets delivered.

I feel your pain, Ive been the wrong end of them recently too!! And as some will attest ive also had the dreaded ebay crappy seller over the last two weeks! My facebook wall has been a place of many swearwords! LOL

Royal mail havent failed me yet..... lots of packages received, lots of letters received, and when I order from my favourite heli shop, stuff arrives next day before 11.... cant really say fairer than that...

Well you actually only know they have let you down once, and thats if you can be 100% that your dad wrote the address correctly and posted the letter (im sure he did, not having a go at your dad here). The other package you are making the assumption that it is royal mail that have failed you, and not the retailer. It is just as possible that the retailer made a mistake, rather than royal mail losing it, again im not saying they did, just that they may have done.....

I was just putting my side forward, in that I havent had issues. I certainly wouldnt moan about my postie, he does a cracking job, with a smile, says hello and is generally pretty helpful.

Stuff sent to me by courier inevitably ends up back at their depot if im not in when they drop it off, or in some cases stop by to put the 'sorry you wernt in' card through the letter box without actually ringing the bell or knocking (I caught yodel trying this a couple of months back). The petrol to get from my home to a depot costs me more than the £2 charged by RM to deliver odds and sods, so im grateful that they give me such a good service. Sure I would be ****ed off if things went missing, but I bet they lose less paperwork than I do.....

My postie even delivers the letters to the wrong houses, she even knocked on my door last weekend when she realised she had put three houses' post through my door. They are completely useless, and as you know, it happened a while back with a late delivery from Align. This particular incident cost the delay of over a grand going into my account, so don't even try to defend the useless idiots to me, nor even suggest that my Dad can't write the correct address on a poxy envelope, two different suppliers also both got it wrong? I think not!!!!!

Royal mail do handle a bazzilion items year so they dont do too bad but i agree it is annoying when things go missing or turn up late. As said though you can never be certain if the shops have made a mistake either. Also a few model shops avoiding royal mail wouldn't make the slightest difference to them.. as i say they handle so much the whole country would have stop using them but even then.. theres international mail to deal with lol

I've been let down by them about 3 or 4 times but only once with any value & I lost out about £12. At our old address the none of the postmen could read the difference between 23 Hulse road & Flat 23 Hulse Lodge, Hulse road. One item was my wife's birth certificate & it was only thanks to a resident of the block of flats (23 hulse road) bringing it to us that she got it back. They are all idiots who don't give a monkeys. My wife worked for RM on agency for a while & other agency staff would see things marked fragile & then throw them hard at the floor.

Well I will say sorry then. I wasnt trying to offend, nor say that your dad cant address a letter.

My point was only that RM tend to always get the blame, even when the mistake may lie with others in the chain.

My driving licence was repeatedly sent to 28 instead of 2b (where I actually live) because the DVLA couldnt tell the difference between a B and an 8, and then made things worse on the new application I was made to fill out by asking me to put 'BRAVO' after the B. My licence was again addressed to "28 (BRAVO)". The DVLA suggested I needed to take the matter up with RM.....

Unless my Dad got it wrong, and Align are lying, and Fastlads are lying (and I am not suggesting that, as thier semi automatic email system does confim correct postage as well as verbal confirmation) then the common denominator is RM!!
