    Hi all

So today i have managed to fly my 450X into a tree. it seems like it was quite a soft tree as there does not seem to be any visible damage, apart from a slightly bent link(the one that connects the swash right behind the motor to the elevator servo I think).

However there is of course something wrong! New I couldn't have got off that lightly!

When getting towards the end of the battery the heli starts pulling massively to the right and I have to hold a lot of left in order to land it safely.

I clearly need to go over it with a fine tooth comb to check everything but the fact that it happens towards the end of the battery kind of indicates that it might be something electronic to me. Is it likely that the ar7200BX needs recalibrating somehow. or do you think it's most likely a mechanical thing somewhere.

Thanks in advance for your advice

Is it fine whilst the battery has charge? Does it wobble more on spooling up?

I dont think so. it seems to spool up fine. Even hovers pretty well (at least as well as my skill allows) it then just starts pullingtotheright about 3 mins intotheflight

Are the tail blades damaged, even a little bit missing will create an imbalance with gives high frequency vibes, the type that you want to avoid.

Also a slightly bent tail shaft will cause the same type of vibes.

Could be as your battery gets used up the head speed drops lower to exactly the resonant frequency that causes the issue.

You're not pulling the lipo down to under 20% are you? Depending on the charger, do you know how many mah you're putting back in ...

              Hi All

              Thanks for your responses.

              Tail blades don't look damaged

Lipo definitely not going below 20% so it isn't something weird caused by that.

I think its stripped gears on the elevator servo. Definitely feels gritty and one of the elevator rods was bent. Not really sure Why that makes it roll right but it needs fixing in any case. I'm going to replace all the cyclic servos go through the setup and see where I am from there.

Also need to check feathering and main shaft to check they aren't bent

              thanks again for your help

Hi all i seem to have lost a post. So apologies if it double posts on me now.

The tail seems fine and it isn't that I Over discharge the Lipo. On closer inspection I found the elevator zero gears were stripped so have ordered some savox 0257s to replace the cyclics and a new set of push rods. I'll sort those out and see where I am from there.

                Thanks for all your help.
