  • My First Crash

    Morning,

I had my first crash yesterday, I was hovering and transversing side to side and forward and back very nicely I got a bit over confident and tried the same lower to the ground and a gust took it up I over corrected and the wind dropped and the blades hit the runway.

The damage isn't too bad main blades, one of the fly bars is bent, boom and both supports, fin, tail servo case, the tail bades have hit the ground and are scuffed, the main shaft will be bent and ther are a few ball joints broken but that is it.

The most supprising thing is that I wasn't up set at all it was completly my fault I guess it's something I expected would happen sooner or later.

But the good thing now is that I can get some carbon baldes and boom etc wher is a good place to get them and what should I look for?

I use jp carbons myself and find them fine for my flying at the moment, figure eights and the odd loop and they are about £30.
You could try here http://www.hobbyhangar.co.uk/ and he is only in Yeovil so not too far from Chard and he carrys quite a few rappy spares.
    Hope this helps.

To tart up your rappy get a coloured ali tail boom, same price as a black one. No point in the carbon.

        "Runway" not tarmac surely?

            Awww,
Man, i miss thoes little OS32's!
By far the most faithful engine i'v ever owned!
Had two of them, they got me through the *learning to tune* curve, had a rough time they did...
If only there were lighter 30 size helis out there i'd deffinatly contemplate going back down that road
