Hi Jim, Your servo's will do the job and get you up and running but you really need to replace one of them with a high speed servo for the tail, preferably a digital one such as a HS-577 which isn't to costly if you can find them, maybe the others can point you to a similar servo that isn't going to break the bank. The bench mark for a gyro is the futaba GY401, this needs to be coupled to the fast tail servo.

Your radio and rx are fine, if you look in the radio manual theres a diagram and the correct channel information but it's as follows

    1 - throttle (ESC)
    2 - Aileron
    3 - Elevator
    4 - Rudder
5 - can be used as the adjustment of the gyro if it has that capability like the 401
    6 - Pitch

Channels 2 & 3 can be swapped around.

A good place to start is helifreaks.com They have a wealth of helpful videos for beginners but you'll need to sign up for free first. I think these relate to the trex 450 but it's the same setup for the mini T.

Hope this helps a little and if you can spare and have a decent computer then get a copy of phoenix flight sim, it is an invaluable learning tool and the best available at the moment.

    All the best.

Hi Jim, what you should be aiming for is a linear curve ( straight diagonal line ) from 0 at L to 100 at H for 'NORM' (posistion one on the flight mode switch, top right of the radio). This will allow you to plug the battery in and initialize the ESC. You can fly like this if you like but most find it easier to have a constant throttle setting using the ESC's governor or flat throttle curve setup in flight mode 2 (ST 1) on the 9x

If your unsure then simply undo the motor mount and move it out so that it is not contacting the main drive gear and tighten it up, this way you can test things without it driving anything.
