  • first hover with the cp!

just like to say first of all a big thanks to matt for sending me his training set.i though id take the belp cp outside for a quick hover.got my dad to take the video with my phone as i forgot my camera.its very resposive i must say and is really great fun.i,i be hovering it just now till i get used to it.ive made a skid mod to the skids.i drilled 1.5mm holes at the back of the skid strut as the skids kept turning(bit of a pain) so thats that sorted.i bought some rubber today and im also going to try a battery holder mod as i didnt get any velcro to hold my battery in place.

    here,s the video.
i know im a novice so please be gentle lol

great stuff andy - your hovering is pretty good.
if youve not got the phoenix already then you should get it. you can practice hovering and flying around and allsorts of other things without worrying about crashing. the sim is great and you can also fly online with all of us. lots of heliaddicts have it and we get together in online sessions.

get your dad into helis aswell - talk him into the phoenix and a belt cp for himself.

glad you got it flying - looking at your hovering you shouldnt have any problems if you keep it simple and respect your heli and dont try anything you havnt done already on the sim.

it takes hours/days/weeks to fix a heli - only takes a second to crash 1.

ive only got the standard charger. some1 told me the slower the charge the better it is for the lipo. why not get a few more lipo's?

the phoenix is a must - you can practice anything on there and its very realistic. the more you practice on it the better you will be with your belt cp and there will be alot less chance of you crashing it.

you can practice/fly on the sim when its pi$$ing it down and blowing gales when you wont be able to fly your belt cp.

you can get them from almost anywhere for £80. send ade law a pm or join the chatroom when he's in there and ask him. he might be able to get you some discount. it has got a king2 and trex450 but not a belt cp yet.

Oh I'm green with envy Still havent got My Belt Cp out of the box yet, every time I open the box it keeps looking at me wanting to be let out of the box, still hopefully not to long now till the first flight as the Pheonix Sim is helping my rubbish piloting skills no end.

Which I have to say looks dead cool.
