  • Should i trash the raptor?

ive had this damn exceed raptor g2 since xmas now. ive had numerous problems with it from day one most of which i got fixed with help from the people on this site. i decided that the 2 minute runtime on my batterry was usless and waiting another 21/2 hours for it too charge was driving me mad so i went to buy a new 2200 lipo which i had to buy a charger for as the one that my heli came with was no good plus the different connectors all came to around $150. now bearing in mind i only paid $200 for the heli/tx in the first place. so anyway i tried the new battery out after 3 minutes the motor went up in smoke. how long should these motors last its a brushed one. my question is should i spend another $70 on a brushless & esc and probably still will have problems getting it to fly right or should i just bite the bullet put this piece of crap in the closet and save for a better heli? bearing in mind im a newbie and have had zero proper flight time. would it be stupid to pay out for a trex, im guessing it would be easier to fly or should i just stick with the cheap crap until i managed to get some flying time in

sell it on ebay and buy the blade cx2 and the phoenix sim. you will learn loads on the sim and the cx2 and while you are learning and getting in some stick time - save up for a trex 450se v2. by the time you have saved for the trex you will be well ready for it.

you will always be able to get flights in on the phoenix and the cx2 - alot more than what your getting now by the sound of things.

dont give up helis - take my advice - there isnt a better route to take.

      goodluck - matty
