Hi mate, after spending serious money on top branded lipos, I've recently tried these Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack (UK Warehouse)
or these: Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 30C Lipo Pack (UK Warehouse)
Both as good as the e flight packs I was using, but half the price... I'm also using 6 cell versions in my Trex 500 and they're spot on... I am still struggling to believe that these batterys cost so little yet provide such incredible performance... give them a try.
When you go to the Hobby King web site, make sure you select the UK warehouse... then stuff will arrive in a couple of days and not cost a fortune in delivery...
I'm getting about 8 mins from the 6 cell lipos I bought from them... I haven't had a duffer yet. I'm considering buying another 4 for both heli at their prices... Just shows the mark up the big brands are adding.
No doubt the turnigy's are belting value for money however Opti are worth a look too. Yes they do cost more but also come with warranty which includes cover for 50% crash damage
Nice Ras.. but for the price of one of those you can have 3 Turnigy's... I was seriously concerned about the turnigy's... however haven't had a bad one yet, compared with the E Flight lipos that cost 4x more, where one arrived and wouldn't charge fully... no come back either...

Like I said, can't argue with the value...I'm still flying 5a zippy's in my 550 and they've been absolutely solid. Bought them last October and just over a year to the day, they're on charge again ready for tomorrow
I'd rather set my hair on fire and put it out with a hammer than deal with hobbyking again. I ordered three 30c 5000 packs four and a half weeks ago. The package was delivered in good time but they delivere one of the three. 11 days after raising a support ticket and no update from them I had to resort to raising a PayPal claim. 25 days on and still no info from them about my missing lipos. PayPal now want until 17november (around 8-9 weeks after delivery) to decide on the claim.
I went to hobbyking as I'm just starting out and didn't think I would make the most of "better" packs. In hindsight, paying double the price for a uk supplier would have been well worth it.
I know many have used HK with success but my firt experience will definately be my last.
RB I'm sorry to hear that mate... I've ordered from them with no issues, although to be fair, I've only used their UK warehouse as I was not up for using a foreign supplier for high value goods... I hope you get you're money back... let us know how things pan out...

I used the uk warehouse too. The problem you will have is if there is any issue with your order, you deal with the hong kong office still. The uk warehouse is just that, a warehouse. In fact, when you pay for your goods you pay a company called hextronik ltd.
They have also attempted to force me into closing the claim I have with PayPal before they will do anything. I just want my money back and I will likely buy optipowers from a uk supplier. It will take me much longer to buy the same amount of lipos but I know that if I have an issue, I will be able to make a phone call rather than deal with someone pretending to be English via an electronic support system where the can take days to respond.
