Hi, been flying the f45 for a few months now, can do basic 8's etc without loosing control now, decided to move up a step, buying Chumley's T rex 450 rtf kit, hope to progress to a better standard with help, flight sim coming too.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I don't know what the F45 is but more than likely the 450 will be quite different. The sim is a very good tool and can give you some idea what to expect but real life is still always a bit different (hopefully we're talking about an accurate sim like Phoenix or Realflight etc.)

The MJX F45 is just a toy 4 ch but has been good for orientation practice nose in and nose out etc, I did own a 450 and 500 trex a while back but never had time to learn, got time now so looking farward to getting back into the hobby

Heres the two I owned, shame I sold them

Hi mate, welcome to the hobby. Take a look at these pages, there's lots of useful stuff... I also recommend taking a look at his ebook, he gives suggested setings to make the 450 a lot more docile for the beginner.
              Have fun!!!

I did own a trex 450 V2 and a trex 500 a few years ago but sold the lot as didn't have the time to learn basics, got time now so a trex 450 should be a good starter, yes got the Phoenix sim and will make good use of it
Sounds like you'll be on the right path. I haven't seen the Plus up close yet but it looks like a variation of the 450 Sport with the new style rotorhead.
