Hi all, been into rc stuff for years have now started with coax helis big and small lamas for quite a while......but they are so prone to the slightest bit of wind and don't respond very quickly ....i would like your thoughts on wether to go for an mcpx...i have just bought a spektrum dx6i as i read it can calm it down a tad..........phil

Yep a mcpx is a good start to cp heli's, it's helped me quite a lot. Handles well in the wind too. It gave me the confidence to actually start hovering my 450 rap rather than looking at it on the shelf wish I'd got one months ago

There is also the 130x not sure if it's begginer friendly though as I haven't had one I'm sure somebody will clear that up.

Also a good sim like Phoenix wouldn't go a miss either for those unflyable days

Mcpx is a safe bet, mine taught me sooo much, I've now sold it and got a 130x which is brilliant but I think it would have been a bit much for me as a newbie

I'd recommend the mcpx mate, crashes are 9 times out of 10 free IF you teach yourself to be quick to throttle hold BEFORE it hits the deck

I bought an mcpx as my first heli, didn't get on with phoenix but I can hover it in a tight space and I'm gradually flying it around a bit now. Well worth it, not cost me anything in crashes yet, and I've have crashed it loads.
