Hi all. 3 weeks ago i was given an incompete r/c aeroplane to finish and learn to fly,so the next day i went to the local model shop to get some bits to do the job,but i walked out with a twister helicopter, and went to a not so local flying club in kent, where everyone had a hummingbird,so i went to another shop and got one of those as well,( i can only just hover for around 2 seconds). i then went back to the original shop with all the aeroplane radio gear and engine and all accessories and traded that lot in for a twister cp . i now own 2 twisters, a twister cp, and a hummingbird v3,and all the bits required ,15 batteries ,lots of spare parts, chargers, tools, tool boxes to put the bits in i am now looking at the hummingbird 3d and possibly in the very near future purchasing a hornet, all i need now is a decent transmitter, and a full size helicopter to transport the bits around.......i guess i have got the bug, and a much lighter bank account.

    Firstly, welcome to RCHeliAddict.

You'll find many members here fly IC powered heli's (internal combustion) - using glow fuel.

There are several who fly Micro Helis; but collective pitch as opposed to fixed pitch, using real transmitters (not the one supplied inthe box)

To be honest you may have been better saving for and purchasing a .30 size heli (Raptor 30, Sceadu, Shuttle or similar) and a 6 channel tx (the tx's you have range from 3-4 channel), ie a Sanwa, JR, Futaba, or Hitec.

I'm guessing the full-size heli part was a joke ?

As far as I know it's a Twister in different clothes - plenty around . Find a place indoors and you might have a chance as they don't like wind at all.

Hello mate!!! I'm interested in the indoor stuff for sure. PM me your phone number and we'll hook up.

Err, Stuart! Am I winning, am I winning???

Picked up a Shuttle last night, very exciting with FF6 for an incredible deal. Everything is included so I'm good to go this weekend, see if I can get it started and take it to the shop for a checkover.

                          Cheaper is not necessarily better.

Are these FP or CP models ?

I registered a few months ago on this site and have not really been a regular but having spent an hour on here tonight reading some of the posts you guys have been putting up I have only one question.

Is Chappers as big a tit in real life as he comes across on the web?

                              Thankyou and goodnight
