Yes I have flown one. The one that I stupidly bought when I got into the hobby....... It's still in my garage awaiting a fitting end.... possibly a date with some high explosive I came to my senses fortunately after a day or so of struggling to get anywhere with it. I joined a club and have moved on a little since then.

I just wish that I'd have come on this forum asking for advice first. I wouldn't have wasted my time and money.

If ya dont want to get the cx then buy the sim and a spektrum DX7 Transmitter. www.skylinemodels.co.uk speak to Bob im sure he'll sort ya a deal out for them. Should be round about the 200 mark. If you go for the sim and transmitter then you can save cash for a TRex 450 se v2 or something similar. You'll then have a headstart as you will already have the Transmitter (which will be futureproof by the way as its a 2.4ghz set and most people are changing over to that now). Heres some info on the transmitter:- http://www.spektrumrc.com/Articles/A...ArticleID=1624
It will be one less thing to buy as its probably one of the most expensive items to purchase for your kit.

Sounds like pretty good advice to me.

Or alternatively you could get Pheonix and a new Blade 400 wich comes with new DX6i 2.4Ghz Tx its a bit over your budget but the Blade 400 would be a pretty good learner heli in my opinion

You really do get what you pay for in this hobby I'm afraid.

you could always get the cx2 and the sim and sell the cx2 on ebay after im sure ul have no probs selling it,or id say your goin for a big jump from the sim to like a trex, plus if you havnt had ago on the sim yet i think ul find it mite go cxt raptor size then 450 size in order of the easyer to fly
so id say you wanna start with the harder first if you go with a 450 first off
