    Hi mate and welcome

Remember even though the BCX2 is only £115, or have spent another £150 upwards in crash repairs, new alloy parts spare batt and so on, before your proficient with it.

It's easy to fly, however like you I'd never flown anything like a heli before buying one and I can tell you from a complete starters perspective it can be a intimidating.

Yes it flys right out the box, but can you control it over your furniture with the ever changing Wash, know what to do when your BCX2 is being pulled to that expensive piece of furniture and you panic and land or crash it into something else.

As it will happen, no Simulator will prepare you for that, but it's a nice little heli to repair and fly, but buy the Phoenix Sim for when you want the larger CCP stuff, but the BCX2 will offer you all the thrills and excitement while gaining valuable flight experience.

    Good luck mate.

      high carpman welcome.
are you confused with the fact that you can actually fly any heli on a sim with a cx2 controler, or do you want to skip a level and go straight for a more advanced heli.? because if your on a budget you will be soon in trouble.crashes soon eat up the funds.(even a cx2 can).
what is your budget £100.....£500 let us know we can advise better then

Before I say anything else can I suggest that you find another hobby less expensive as helis cost real money. You may thank me

            No... still here.... OK.....

If you go and buy one of the cheap Honeybee (or similar) CP helis then you will waste £200...... FACT. They are total shite!

DO however buy Phoenix and Blade CX2. That will set you back just under £200.

There are a few slightly more expensive helis coming on the market however as with anything in life you get what you pay for.

My advice would be to spend loads of time on the sim and flying your CX2 around and start saving money for a proper smaller electric heli like a TREX 450 SE V2 or maybe a TREX 500 (only just out so is not properly avalable yet).

i'll have to disagree with you - i bought a rtf esky belt cp for £115 including delivery and ive had no problems with it at all.

Carpman get Phoenix sim and a blade cx you'll thank us in the long run. You can use the cx's Tranmitter to fly the sim just ask for the compatible cable. If ya dont want to get the cx then buy the sim and a spektrum DX7 Transmitter. www.skylinemodels.co.uk speak to Bob im sure he'll sort ya a deal out for them. Should be round about the 200 mark. If you go for the sim and transmitter then you can save cash for a TRex 450 se v2 or something similar. You'll then have a headstart as you will already have the Transmitter (which will be futureproof by the way as its a 2.4ghz set and most people are changing over to that now). Heres some info on the transmitter:- http://www.spektrumrc.com/Articles/A...ArticleID=1624
It will be one less thing to buy as its probably one of the most expensive items to purchase for your kit.
