  • New tail servo and beastx programming.

Just fitted a new savox 0262mg servo to my b300x, spent a while getting it mechanically straight then went and set up the beastx (frequency, pulse length & endpoints) then double checked all the setup menu and parameter menu. Thought that would be it as when i was testing it in the kitchen it seemed to do as it was told and the beastx was doing its thing.
Took into the garden for a test hover and as soon as it took off and i gave it a slight rudder input it span really quick in that direction, had to land it straight away as im not good enough yet to try and sort that out at that speed.

Im using stock tx settings with a little expo.

Any pointers at what could be wrong?

EDIT: Might of found the problem, when i move the heli to the right it tries to correct but it makes the blade go right too hence the spin, but if i reverse the gyro it seems to turn off the headlocking as it doesn't hold.

Did you re-do the tail servo endpoints setup-E as well as reversing the gyro correction direction? You may have to re-do the tail gyro gain settings in the radio too.

How do i reverse the gyro correction? As thats my problem it corrects the direction my tails heading hence spinning out of control.
I have tried reverse gyro on my tx but it doesn't do anything??? Is there a manual way of doing it on the ar7200bx?

Yes i set the endpoints etc.

      Thanks

There is a setup point where you set the tail direction. Reversing the rudder servo in the tx will affect rudder stick input not gyro direction ;-)

It is menu point F the light will be either red or blue just change it with rudder stick to reverse

Best download BeastX ver. 3 manual and read setup instructions there. http://www.beastx.com/service_manuals.html

EDIT: more specifically, make sure steps F M and N are setup correctly.

Right got another problem, the servo throw is tiny.... If I go full right rudder it moves probably 2mm and same to the left.
I've been back through and set the endpoints twice, which is fine, come out of the menu and I'm back to almost zero servo movement.

I've been through my tx settings and I can't see anything in there which is limiting movement.

Next time I'm just gonna replace parts with oe stuff!
