Still can't hover

Hi All
Hope you all had a good Christmas and Happy New Year. I have had my sim for two weeks now and I still can't hover. I am able to get the heli off the ground and control it to a certain point then it drifts away and I can't seem to keep it on the spot. It then gets to a point that I keep over correcting and after that it's history. Any pointers chaps. Thanks

Hi Mack
You don't have any wind switched in do you .
Otherwise it's practice and more practice.
The over correcting thing is quite common - the trick I found was never to leave a stick input in for to long - sort of pulse the control in and out watching for the heli reacting correctly and when it does getting the input out.
Hope this makes sense it's not easy to explain.

It took me about 3 months on the sim. You will get there in the end, just keep on trying.

3 MONTHS!!! I can't wait that long I must fly now! :x

I was making my Shuttle at that moment so I wasn't in a hurry and it was getting winter.

You did it the right way round. I tried to fly before I could crawl.

I can hover my Piccolo Fun indoors but trying to get the sim to hover is much more difficult!. I learnt to hover on the Piccolo and then tried the XTR sim.

Probably due to the 2D perception.

Anybody else found the sims more difficult than the real thing.
