After last, not very successful flight (trying nose-in hover, on my Trex 450 Pro) I noticed that apart from usual damage i.e. stripped bearings and pulled linkage from DFC head, feathering shaft was moving with few milimeters play in both directions (in the direction of its axis - i.e. screws seem to have come lose). So I stripped it down, put it back together with generous portion of smear around bearings and a bit of threadlock on both screws. Trying it I noticed the bearings are binning, quite strongly. I mean, the feeling when turning blades grips is not smoooooth but more like tick-tick-tick. I guess it's time to replace the bearings? In grips and/or thrust ones?

feathering shaft - bearings to replace?

Disassebled again, thrust bearings are butter smooth. It seems bearings in the grips are binning, but removing them is very difficult
EDIT: yup removed one, it's totally broken. I will replace all and fethering shaft (have enough spares), just in case.
EDIT2: with new bearings and feathering shaft (old thrust bearings) it's butter smooth.Last edited by Bronek; 10-08-2012, 11:19 PM.Trex 450 DFC with AR7200BX and several small E-flite Blades
