  • Accucell 6 balance charging?

Just got my order from HK, 3 turnigy lipo's and a accucell6.

How the hell do i balance charge them using the accucell 6? I set the charger to lipo 11.1v and charging at 1.8amps but when i plug the balance lead in the charger says theres a break in the connection??? Am i doing something wrong?

Just to add, my eflite balance charger is currently charging the batteries so i dont think there is a problem with them.

    Thanks
    Dan

You are not starting the charge before connecting the balance wires to the charger are you?

Also you have selected 'Lipo Balance' as the charge type?

This is what im doing, i connect the little 4 wire connector from the battery to the side of the charger and hold down the start button on the 'balance charge' option and it says 'connection break' ???

It charges fine through the xt60 but thought it would be best to balance charge them.

You are connecting the main discharge wires as well, not just the balance wires?

Ahh so i need to plug in both?
The eflite charger only needs the balance plug to charge.

So i need to connect the balance plug and the main discharge plug?

Take a few minutes and read the manual, it really is a good idea when you are using something that could burn down the house in the wrong circumstances

Copy here if needed but hopefully an up to date one shipped in the box: http://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/P...ual%282%29.pdf

Yes, you need to connect the discharge wires as well.

Ok cheers for that its all working now. The charger didnt come with a manual but i thought it would be similar to the eflite charger, obviously not.
