  • Honeybee king 2 or Twister V2 CP?

I have been learning to fly with a twister V2, and have decided to upgrade. I have narrowed it down to either a Honeybee king 2 or a Twister V2 CP.
Please can anyone advise, or would someone else suggest something else. My budget is between £100 and £150.
    Regards.

hi, how have you got on with he twisterv2? have you mastered it? i personally think the small fixed pitch helis like the twisterv2 and hummingbird are harder to fly than the slightly bigger collective pitch helis. i have a king2 and a belt cp but not had a twisterv2cp so cant really comment on them.

the king2 is fine for me - i bought the rtf brushless version for £75 including shipping from hongkong. had a few bumps with it but most of the time got back in the air after a few hours rebuilding and £20 worth of spares.

i like the belt cp more though. i bought it for £115 including shipping from hongkong through ebay. its very similar to the king2 but slightly bigger (same size as trex 450). all the belt cp's come with brushless motors and esc as standard. my belt cp is still standard at the moment but i have bought a full cnc head and tail(£60) and loads
of other spares that still need fitting but im waiting untill i get a few more parts i want. parts and upgrades are cheap enough and are widely available from ebay or model shops online.

ive never crashed my belt cp but have heard from others that they are very unforgiving in a crash.

id go for the belt cp with the budget you have but thats just my opinion. others on here will tell you to buy the phoenix sim and save up for a trex450 se v2.

    hope this helps.

      Hello mattydred,
The twister v2 was ok to fly, but I have never flown any other heli so I cannot compare it.
You have mentioned to go for the belt cp, can you give me a link to it as I dont know which one that is.
This is the honeybee I am thinking of buying Heliguy.
      Regards.

i think that king2 you are looking at is abit pricey and i also think they are only the brushed motor version and not brushless.

check my first reply for links to the belt cp.
        cheers

Out of curiosity, why did you not buy your heli from the first link?
              Regards.

I have just yesterday brought a Bee King2 and it will be delivered by this time tomorrow. So anything you want to know abuot how it comes, of what is what out of the box i will be able to help you with tomorrow evening. However this is my 1st Heli, so i wont be able to tell you much abuot how it fly's.

If your local to me ( Ascot - Berkshire ) your more than welcome to come give it a fly ( crash it and die ) and see how it takes you.

                    Hope this helps.

Hi Guy's, try these for spares etc....

                            http://www.buzzflyer.co.uk/

They are very reasonable for spares and the service is top notch.
I fly a honey Bee (we'll sort of try to fly it )and have had a few crashes / heavy landings with it,(I'm not very good yet) bought spares from buzzflyer and have them in my hands in just a few days.

I also just got the clearviewRC simulator as recommended on here and have been practicing on that, it seems very realistic and well worth the $39.99(about £20)
                            Good luck

Have a twister hawk, (basically a rebodied blade cx2), but have just made a notar body for it, and also have a xtreme sport kit which is on it at the moment.
