  • A sort of newbie seeking some info =)

I am interested in buying this knight 50 3D CCCM, as i have heard it is a good helicopter for many reasons, i have never had a nitro helicopter before but i have had 2 electric ones so i know a wee bit about them.

The helicopter website i am most interested in getting this from's link is: http://www.climb-out.com/product.php...age=1&featured

I was wondering how to control this because it doesn't mention anything about a controller, are you meant to buy the controller seperately? or am i just missing something, i have looked around similar websites and still havn't found anything relevant.

    Thanks, Josh

the larger airframes you have to buy the motor, servos, gyro and transmitter seperately it gives the user the choice of the gear he wants to use from budget to ubber expensive.

take a look at the spektrum DX7 its a great budget radio using the latest transmission technology.

what models have you flown before? Do you have a PC simulator?

You will need to buy a Transmitter which is capable of ccpm mixing. A minimum of 7 channels. Something like a Futaba 7CHP/CAP or a spectrum DX7 (2.4ghz which most people are buying now). You'll also need blades, 3 servos for ccpm, 1 for throttle, a gyro and tail servo, battery, Receiver, plus crystals for Transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX).
