I suppose it depends on whether you want flybarred or flybarless and whether you want a kit or a ready built.

A lot of people start or end up with an Align heli. Ready built bind 'n' fly would be Blade 450 3D or 450X.

    Best regards.

Cant rate the blade 450x high enough myself, it is an awesome heli, and though it might not have the bling of others, it is light and thats what makes it just so good to fly, and is as capable of any other top 450 in the 3d stakes, also it is a BNF so just bind straight to your dx6i and away you go

There's a really good thread about HK450 disposable trainer. You should have a read of that too before deciding.

I bought a lightly used 450D as well as a HK450 kit, available in UK warehouse now. The 450D is ok but I feel more attached to the one I built and I fly that a lot more. I bought a spare kit for parts and I now have a few Align spares such as main shafts too.

Whatever you do, £20 for insurance on here, is a good investment. Enjoy yourself.

I couldn't agree more with James post.
The 450x is the daddy of all the 450 size helis. I had 450 sport and 450 pro and none of them are as good as the X. Yes it feels like a toy with all the plastic frame, but underneath is just an animal.

Get it, lower the D/R and expo and enjoy.

I'd say go for flybar less right from th go, flybar less is the way forward and is becoming more and more popular.

As for which heli, I can't recommend the blade 450x enough, superb power, great for 3D (when, if, you get into it), but the heli can be tamed down to fly like a pussy cat.

BLADE 450X ALL THE WAY !!

Hi,I dont think there is any "E BOOK" out there yet... But there are variuos Sticky's on here about ccpm setup and pitch and throttle curves and the like... There are some very good tutorial video's by "Finless Bob" on the Heli freak website for various different build of heli's.Enjoy and happy flyingRick
