Beginner: Day 1 flying Trex100

So day 1 of trying to fly my Trex 100 and yes iv crashed and broke the blade ( New ones ordered) . This is gona be harder than i thought. More time to be spent on phoenix i think.

any1 got any good tips for a fresh beginner??

1. cut up your credit cards.
2.spend more time on phoenix.

In that order.

100x is a good bird to learn on, just concentrate on tail in hovering for now. Then concentrate on tail in hovering but move the heli 2-3 feet to your left or right (so its sort of side on)

Work up the angles as you get more confident to side on and then finally nose facing you

yes ok i think i just rushed into this and look wat happened. "I crashed" ill take ur advice and spend more time on sim.

nowt wrong with crashing mate, its part of it!

dont spend too much time on the sim or youll get bored. Dont worry youll have plenty in your spares bin soon Just don't try and run before you walk! stick to tail in hovering for now, just holding the heli in one place. Landing and taking off. That sort of thing. Dont try to fly around yet!

might be worth getting yourself a little 4ch coax as well, they are much easier to fly and will teach you orientations indoors. They are often tougher too in a crash as they are designed for the general public. Just one from argos or tk maxx or something!

ok i will get myself 1 of them aswel. anything to get me started with this hobby as im willing to learn and stick at it.

I found it easier to get use to side in, and then start a move called "lazy eights" this allow you to fly nose in, without even realizing your doing it
But everyone has different ways of learning so you just got to find the way that suits you

Phoenix is Always your friend! You cant practice too much imo

When using Phoenix, try and use a reasonable size heli like a Trex 550, the small models are rubbish in phoenix if you ask me. Like others have said, just practice, but try and keep things varied or you'll get into habits.
