Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the Ilminster club. I spoke with Dave Cossins and they are primarily fixed wing. He pointed me in the direction of Hobby Hanger and have had a couple of brief conversations with Richard Smith there.

I think what I am looking for at the moment (because business is time consuming and my motivation at the moment is not to spend too much money until I know whether it is really going to grip me) is the possibilty of others in the immediate Taunton area with indoor rotary-wing and we might get together and hire a hall periodically. That need not be expensive and would at least be a good starter for ten. Yes, there will obviously be insurance considerations but am sure we can handle that one, since others presumably do the same thing.

They did fly planks and helis in Shepton Mallet it was in a very large cold cow shed in the Royal Bath and West show ground.
I went along to look around when i was first interested in flying, the people were great and i got alot of information from just watching all evening, but im not sure if they are still doing it as i have not had any emails from the guy who runs it, but at hobby hanger they should know.

Yes they are still flying in the cow shed at shepton showground.
Most tuesday evenings from 6pm, if anyone requires exact dates send me a PM & I will forward them to you.
