About a month after that I went and purchased a Hirobo Evo 50 as a first helicopter.

So my advice is to forget about the pathetic little micros, coaxials and even 450 sized electrics. Get the tx and sim and practice. After that get a 30 size or 50 size kit and you will be well set for this hobby. Personally I think you need to be able to budget £500 to £1000 if you are going to get everything new. Join a local club and see if you can pickup a seconhand helicopter.

do you two guys "honestly" believe that! or just swinging your shoulders shouting look at me.

500 to 1000 before you even know if its for you? a tx and sim gives you an idea of what its like but even a little cx2 can give you a buzz for real.and the "pathetic"little micro's are to blame for the massive interest in this hobby.(maybe to you basher the cx2s are toys but bloody usefull ones!) some people regard the 450 size as the biggest they want. no need to join a club then, local park is good enough.
now when guys come on here asking for advice its given freely and genuinly, if you think yours is sound then add it by all means but don't dis every body else's as rubbish cos quite frankly its not!!

rant over no flame war required. i'm calm now
