Thanks for the advice and encouragement, as the psu was free its cost me about a fiver.

The Charger was showing 12.67v steady. Just need to get an adapter for my blade120Sr batteries. My HBV2 batteries are all nicely balanced.

No problem. We've all benefited from somebody else's experience. There's so much stuff to know it's hard to know where to start. I've just wasted the day on a problem that seems to be between a gyro and a servo. I have a gyro that works with one servo and not another. The servo works ok with another gyro. All I need now is the gyro output spec and the servo input spec and a scope. Then I can tell which one is faulty. I've never seen an output spec for a gyro or an input spec for a servo. I think people assume it's not an issue. What bothers me is that this combination is right on the edge. Sometimes it works on switch on and sometimes it doesn't. It could have worked and then failed in flight....
