battery question

morning all

i have 2 heli's with standard li-ion batts (my lama and gt model heli's) i have plenty of lipo's from my racing boats and cars

can i use 2s lipos in place of 7.4v li-ion using the standard control boards in the helis ?

the only problem i can see is that the helis wont have a low voltage cutoff to protect your lipos. so you would have to work out how long you can fly and set a timer for each flight, or risk damaging your lipos

thanks for reply phsyco, i have a lipo alarm for that sort of thing

i was thinking of using my 2s, 1000mah lipo in the lama and the 2s, 2000mah in the gt model
