  • Real Flight sim problems

    Hi All
I have just bought the Real Flight G2 sim and it will not load on my PC.
PC is big enough and am running windows XP. The message I get is
"C:windows|system32|autoexec.nt". The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications. There are two choices I have then " close and ignore" they both do the same thing i.e. nothing. Please help. I want to play

      Ohh...

You may have to stop all unecessary software, especially anti-virus before installing. If my memory serves me right the software will want to connect to GP to verify the serial etc....

        Hi Stuart
Thanks for the info. I was not able to get it sorted out this weekend(about 12 hrs between Sat & Sun). I am going to try and contact Microsoft today or go around to PC World. I will let you know what happens. While searching yesterday I found a few people on different sites that have the same problem, so it can't be an isolated incident.

          Hi All
It is now one week later after buying my sim and it has just started working. I can't believe how difficult it actually is. The problem I had was that my autoexec.nt file was missing. There was apparently a virus some time ago that would delete this file, for what purpose I do not know. If there is anyone that needs help with this, please feel free to ask, I have just finished a one week intesive course on it.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
