  • MCPX Rolling to Left on take-off

New to the hobby but studying a lot. Bought a MCPX. Set up my DX6i according to the Blade recommendations. As soon as I increse throttle it wants to summersalt to the left (viewed from the rear). I am using training gear or it would immediately roll over to the left. No vibrations or jittering. Can anyone help before I start pulling my hair out!

    Hi
First thing to look at, is the swash level put the hold on and and move the throttle stick up and down looking to see that the swash stays level at all times if its if not adjust the links accordingly. Make sure your trims are centred first.
    Cheers Dave M.

It is normal for the heli to tilt on take off because of the rotation of the blades - It should not be drastic however. The mCpx is prone to tip on take off...I actually punch the throttle up pretty hard to get it off the ground and then correct it - they are tricky to get off of the ground...sometimes a hand launch is easier...waiting for the safety police now...

If its a fast somersault with zero chance of controlling it then I would suggest you have your servos connected the wrong way round on the 3-1

Try re binding, it often solves problems when it seems to be going 'mental' for no reason. Oh and make sure the heli is on a flat surface within a couple of seconds after the battery is connected or the gyro won't configure correctly and it'll be all 'mental'.

Make sure that all the servo links are on the swash too - sounds daft but they do pop off easily.

Where are you from? It might be worth someone local taking a look for you?

I had a similar problem with mine, it turned out that my swash was way off and needed flattening out. Adjusting the linkages and checking by eye proved to be enough to sort it out.

Thanks for your help folks. Re-binding seems to have reduced the problem considerably. A crap pilot covers the rest of the problem I think practise is now the
                    answer.
