Yep shakes on at least one flight every outing, sometimes more.

But don't have any nerves with the planks - but then thats just glue and go when you get it wrong.

Wow I thought it was just me. On of the main reasons for getting the mini CP was to use it to get the first flight shakes out of the system. Funny thing was on the 500 never really got the shakes until I crashed the first time. Then started shaking so much it got hard to hold the stick. Slowly getting my confidence back now and not so bad. After a few flights a lot better.
Used to race motorbikes and tipping into a corner at 150 mph and sticking my knee on the ground was less scary then flying a model heli. WTF.

          Cheers

The shaking turns in to tears when you crash! My first crash was a trex 700 and I wrote if off lol!

I still get the old 'elvis knee' syndrome on a few flights.
Like some have said before, the moment it becomes routine and I don't get a buzz out of flying it will be time to quit.

I thought it was just me! Get it a lot when flying my 450 Pro, thought it was just because I'm new to the 450 but clearly it isn't lol. Don't get it with the mcpx tho, suppose that's more, fly it, crash it, no damage done, fly it......and repeat. Whereas I'm a lot more careful/nervous with my 450!

I can fly and do crazy insane stunts on the sim, and I usually do not crash. I push a little red button and it is all better. Now in real life, I am always nervous. I think the reason I am nervous is because one I know how much it will cost to fix it. In addition to that I have a dumb philosphy I would rather crash on the sim then in real life. So I fly all my smaller helicopters harder then my 700 since they are not as bad to fix. i am sure some day I will get over it.

The thing I hate the most is when you start to spool up that 600 or 700 and then your knees start to knock, and (then they get bruised from the knocking) and or your fingers do not move as smooth or efficient. Then as your knees or knocking and fingers are not nice and smooth, you have a close call and it is worse. i then usually just land and call it a day.
Oh gosh its a blonde girl flying, quick hide under the car.

I have never got the shakes. I remeber the first time i saw my 500 fly at the hands of Gixerman. I actually hid behind him

Heli's I shake like a fuc*in leaf, first flight of a session i'm like nowhere and can barely keep thumbs on sticks it gets that bad. after first flight i'm normally ok and i settly down but as someone else said first loops and i was ready to pass out! fortunately club member was on hand so gentle words of 'steady' and 'ok now just bring into a hover' I was ok but oh man!!!
Yep agree with above - get a little bit nervous when buddying - tried heli buddying at our indoor club with sr120 and b4003d you ever tried to grab back a heli indoors - thats knee shaking and you don't arf brick yourself.

I have been flying planks for 3yrs now normally no problems - waiting for some more decent weather to practice for my b at winterton... been flying helis solidy now for 8 months now - did my first loop at our private field meet this sunday... pulled out with inches to spare... only one person saw it.... got coaxed into second.... broke skids as felt it ok upside down at top of loop but got the wobbles lost concentration/orientation and broke skid on way down.... b400 is now stripped and been sold.....to small for me too see these days far away.... enjoy my raptor titan that is blinged up now.... scale and some basic stall turns and other bits are ok now nice n smooth and think I am ready for my B - just need and examiner to come to our club/go to another club for a day out......did not really realise how much predjudice there is out there rgds to helis from plank flyers.... but then after a couple of smooth flights our avid scale builder told me that it was nice to see some proper flying instead of an engine screaming and blades going phwop phwop phwop all the time.... came away from that session with a big beaming smile...... and did my first series of autos from around 300ft... only been doing them a week ... enjoying them .... just gotta remember that you have to wait wait wait till pulling positive!!!!

Enjoy your learning curve.... as a footnote .... switched from dx6i no governer to dx7s dsmx mode on my raptor titan.... got the shakes on the first flight and the heli did a merry little shake rattle n roll as everything my fingers did (shake) the heli mimicked

I always get the shakes, usually more when it something new. Maidened a jet last weekend and I was nervous as hell. My flying buddy knows when I'm nervous. All that said, the buzz when your finished is the best. That why I enjoy this so much and always pushing for the next move.
