  • Sceadu 50 Questions.....

Ok. Building my first heli since a Robbe Mosquito!!! Two questions: How do you set the tail drive belt tension? I know how to adjust it but what is the correct tension. There are no guidelines in the manual.

Second question.. The fist stages of the build show 11 self tapping screws. 4 of one size - no problem and 7 larger ones. There are 3 each side which are obvious but there is a forth on the left side that I cannot figure. The exploded view is so busy that its of little help.

Thanks in advance from a plank and egg whisk flyer!!!

I don't have that make of heli, but I'll get hold of a manual and check it out....

Is it the std version or the Evo version ?

      Sorted

Its the Evo. The hidden screw went in the fan shroud.

The manual drawing for belt tension is a bit iffey!!

      Cheers

        Hi Helimad,

The belt tension needs to be reasonably tight, but not overly so. I think the optimum tension is such that you can push the belt in about a quarter of an inch in between the tail drive pulley and the front of the boom.

        Cheers,

        Pete.
