That is so cool, but why would the tail rotor be horizontal like the main rotor. Surely with counter rotating blades, like the chinook, it would not need a tail rotor. Food for thought.

Question - If it's a dummy tail rotor why not make look like the real deal ?

Just a thought - yaw is easy you vary the speed of the two disc's - a horizontal rotor at the back could give you pitch forward and back ????

                Hi Mack.
I thought I would be clever and get hold of one quick so I could have a game with you guys,I could not source one from anywhere, and even begged a USA store to send one over to me with no luck.
I must be a case of stocking up for Christmas or something, but they sure are elusive.
                GOOD FLYING.

Looking at the video it would appear that the tail is stationary so all control done with the 2 counter rotating main rotors.

The boom wouldn't last long (not with me at the controls anyway)

                      Hi chaps.
Interestingly one of these little heli's has just appeared on the e-bay auction,I also note that the seller has placed a starting price of what I think should be the full selling price if readily available in the U/K shops.
I was tempted at first to have a bid, just to find out what made them tick, but after a little thought, decided to wait a couple of weeks until they are found as giverways in packets of corn flakes.
                      GOOD FLYING.

Just a follow up - these are now freely available if not sold out - they are great fun .
We played with one a couple of windy Sundays ago and it passed a fun afternoon.
We found the best way of handing the controller over in flight was to throttle it up and stick it to the ceiling where it buzzed away happily untill the next pilot was ready.
There coming down in price - started before Xmas at 60 now they can be found with a little research for about 40.
How about getting a couple going in combat .
                        Dave

Or you could spend a few quid less and get the airwars laser kits for your heli (like electronic paintballing), and chase each other around the sky using your own .30 size or larger.
