        thanks

thanks for your advice, both look pretty good.i probably prefer the look of the cx2 so i will have to tap the missus up for a bit more cash.is the honey bee king 2 not really rated that good?

i started with a hummingbird v3 fixed pitch heli.
then straight to a nitro 30 robbe mosquito scale r22.
then a nitro kyosho concept 30sr.
          then a honey bee king2
          now a raptor 50v2 scale md530.

id get the esky belt cp if i was you but loads of people on here will tell you to get the blade cx2.

the belt cp is abit bigger than the king2. about the same size as a trex 450.
you can get a brandnew belt cp off ebay for £95 + £15 delivery. its a propper heli so to speak. there is a simulator that comes with it if you havnt got 1 already.

get a belt cp. lots of sim time and take it easy with the heli and dont rush things. stick to hovering on the spot and dont try flying it aroung like a pro. keep it simple.
          cheers

one thing u must remember with the advice above is that belt cp DONT! fly out the box. it will take some setting up and so u may require some help to get it flying right. and you will have to take real care with it and slow down your learning.

(the CX2 will teach you the basics much faster!)

about a sim, it woudnt be long until you wanted to upgrade the one that comes with the bellt cp so a REALLY good purchase is phoenix sim. there are alot of people on here with it. i believe it is one of the best learning tools, and you will must likly not have to buy anouther sim...

            cheers,

            cheers,

hes only got about £100 and the phoenix sim isnt cheap and he will have to buy a tx aswell. the contra helis are ok - i have a potech helixx3d - but they arnt a propper heli. all helis need setting up even the blade cx2.

i would like a phoenix sim but i seem to be spending all my spare cash on my raptor 50 although i did buy a hyrdoplane (flying boat) off ebay the other day for £45.

i should of bought the phoenix but wanted something to use (outside) while i wait for my raptor parts such as a pcm reciever=£80, csm revlock10=£45, jr8700g servo=£70

if you look at the order i got my helis - i didnt even get the cheap sim until i had the king2. i had a crash landing with kyosho concept due to mechanical failure and i crashed the king2 a couple of times.
              cheers

true but if he bought the cx2 he woudnt really need a sim...

i think the sim would be the next purchase before a bigger 30/50 size heli would be purchased.

i'm not sure but some one on here will no if the tx with the cx2 works with phoenix. i think i read it did but dont quote me on it!

                cheers,

tom. i was flying my raptor 50 for about 3 months with a csm560, 8700g servo on tail and with a futaba ppm reciever.

i had the tail servo fail (not in flight) and have been told that i should get a pcm reciever as your not meant to use digital servos on ppm because this causes glitchs etc.

im now waiting for a pcm duel conversion reciever.
                      cheers

Not heard that one, i fly PPM with all digitals, and no problems, only glitchs when its got a laptop plugged into the (borrowed !!) 720 gyro.
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                          And a DX8 too
