ive heard that flying the fixed pitch hummingbird is not like flying the nitro collective helis that a lot of us fly, however century do make a collective version of the hummingbird and i would be quite interested to hear someones view on flying that version, anyone??????

I learnt my hovering on the HB V2 fixed pitch. It was a good trainer for that sort of thing, but I found it a handful in flight. Sold it and got a piccolo pro with the collective head and this was better in the hover. If you were going to use this to learn on, I would say go for the CP version.

          hummingbird v3

As a complete beginner (2 hours trying to fly) i first bought a twister, and was told that the hummingbird was a better choice i bought one of those as well, which i got to admit seems a lot better to fly (well it goes up easy enough, but i still cant get it to hover for longer than 2 seconds),and i know that i should not have bought another heli until i can fly a bit better but i also bought a twister cp as well, which i can say that in my opinion it is a lot easier to learn on than my original twister and hummingbird v3, i now own two twisters ,one cp twister, and a hummingbird, and as soon as the 3d hummingbird is available i will be getting that 1,and quite possibly a hornet in the near future, i have bought everything i need this week from the helis to the tape to balance the rotors, spares galore ,15 batteries, tools, chargers, tool boxes for the bits, all i need now is a decent transmitter, and a full size heli to transport it arould........i guess i have the heli bug

You can get a collective pitch upgrade kit for the V3 for about 30 though
