  • I Fired Up The 500 Tonight

I wanted to get familiar with turning it on, waiting for the Gyro to sort itself out. I also wanted to discharge the battery as it was taking an age on the Charger. this was the first time I had powered her up since Brian set her for me.

Its a bit bloody intimidating actually. I had it in the dining room, and steadily increased the power, nowhere near hover BTW. It was pretty steady on the floor, I actually practiced some rudder inputs to get the feeling, but like I say, it was pretty intimidating even at low RPM, had a massive smile though when i was brave enough to give it a little more power and heard the blades start to fart. Could not wipe the grin off my face, even the wife smiled, and that aint happened since we had sex 16 years ago :P

    The weekend approaches!!!

Steady mate, really I'd advise not to spin it up in the house. I won't even spin up a 450 in the house with blades never mind a 500. There's just too much potential for damage and injury.

I once hovered mine in a double garage, they are very intimidating in a small space.

Be careful, if it goes wrong you may not have sex ever again!

In the scheme of things that actually shows great skill. Nose in take off and landing as well. He/she didn't even flinch when the smoke alarm went off.

When I tested mine in the front room I flicked Idle up on by mistake and the noise was incredible. Mines only a 400/450 size and scared the life out of me. Was told in no uncertain terms "please don't do that again indoors" by the wife. (Please insert your own swearing and shouting)
