  • Flying clubs and unfinished heli

    I have inherited an unfinished heli from a friend (he's not dead or anything, just not interested any more). Its a Graupner E-Trainer and I think everything is pretty much there bar a couple of bolts.

    It has never been flown before and I am looking for any recommendations for clubs in the London Area (preferably North London/Hertfordshire etc) where they will help me with identifying what I need to get set up, show me how to use the immensely complicated Tx and teach me how to fly.

    I can buzz my Piccolo around moderately will, but its not the CP version and I have no idea about proper outdoor models.

    Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

    Hi Nevin,

    Unfortunately I am not from the North London area so I cant help directly.

    I would suggest you give Dave Wilshere a call at Motors and Rotors, a heli shop based in Watford who will be able to help you with finding a club I'm sure.

    Their details are as follows;

    Motors and Rotors
    Unit 2
    13 Smith Street
    Watford
    Herts
    WD18 0WE

    Tel: 01923 465712
    Fax: 01923 218840

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Pete.
