I was playing with my Belt CP and as I was getting more adventurous I decided to twiddle the pitch control on the top left of my control.... obviously I observed that it increased and decreased the pitch at a certain speed. Ok sooooo..... what ? Should I be looking for high head speed before lift off.... i.e. at say 60% throttle i'm looking to set it so I just begin to lift off or ??? what ??? would for example (and as a learner) I be better off with a very high head speed and a little lift (I'm not doing 3d after all) or does this make it unstable ??? and maybe I should be looking for low speed lift ??? (This must strain the motor as when I was buggering about and forced max pitch at low throttle the head rotation speed declined further)
While we're at it...anyone got a BELT CP ? I have to ask because no matter what i flick up or down on the gyro switch it seems to make no bloody difference and the damn thing still drifts off left or right depending on how it feels. I'm wondering if the standard gyro even has Heading Hold. Pretty sure it's behaving as I imagine Rate would work. i.e. Acts like a weather **** and allows the wind to turn the Heli.
