    Hi all,

Just joined up and first post to say hello to all you heli Addicts out there.

Compliments on the forum, well laid out and plenty of participation. Great place to find out all that's needed to know about RC Helios.

Had a great intro and welcome when I visited our local Club, Kesteven Flyers in Welbourn, Lincolnshire. Thanks to 'Disc' (Mark) and Dave, who I met there and who gave up over an hour of their flying time to help a total stranger (and newbie) with setting up his heli. I will be joining up on Sunday and look forward to drawing on your experience

I have recently acquired my first Heli from a friend. It was an uncompleted build of a Raptor 50 V2. Mark gave me some great advice on what I needed to go with it to get me on the road to flying. So now I have a great looking Heli with DX7 Radio and 401 Gyro which is itching to spread it's blades.

Dave at the Club is going to the final tuning for me Sunday and hopefully I'll see her getting run in. Then on to the lessons.........

Watch out Mr Szabo, here I come (..... I wish )

    Cheers

    Dave.

        Dave,

hope you had another good day. Raptor 50 now seems set up.

Hopefully Monday i'll get you out and hovering and then set Tom's shuttle up. Been a while since I flew a shuttle but it looks new and should be fine.

          Cheers Mark,

Chuffed to bits. Dave did a sterling job getting my Rapter tuned and trimmed. It was a real buzz to see it on it's maiden flight. Looking forward to tomorrow (hopefully) to taking my first steps.
Feel like a kid at christmas.

Thanks again for all the advice etc.

          TTFN

          Dave.

                Hi Biggles,

Let me know when you will be down at the club and I'll be out on parade for inspection
At the moment I can get away with " It wasn't me Gov" but don't know how long that'll last

                Dave.

Yeah, What a great guy. Don't tell him I said that though

Leart a lot watching him wave his wand over the Heli.

                        All,

Had 2 new guys at the site today Dave (dvdlock) and Tom

So here's some pictures of the day

Dave is on the right Tom is on the Left

                        Dave with his Raptor 50

                        Tom With his Shuttle

Dave's Raptor 50 is fine but he discovered what happens whent he receiver battery goes flat Everything was fine though

Tom's Shuttle needs a few bits doing but he did okay considering.

Plus we had another guy simon join us with his T-rex 450. Think he's going to go 50 size as well

                        But welcome on board guys
