  • any good setup guides?

    hi everyone,

just fitted a futaba gy520 to my 450 but i got a prob thought i'd set it correctly but im getting tail whip + wag i altered the gain which seemed to compensate the wag about +65 & +40 (dx6i) but when i lift up on the training gear it gives me a 90% whip around?,

now i bumped into some guys whilst trying to figure it out and they all flew planes but one guy said that he thinks in rate mode the tail is working fine but in gain mode the tail is going the wrong way?,

so i tried altering the gyro on the field trying to remember how to reverse it, think i sorted it but then the guy put expo on it as he said it was to aggressive +30 and altered the setting to have a slight forward momemtum as to not smash the tail or have heli flying back towards you,

but he still said the gyro not quite right and didnt want to chance flying it.

which is fair enough, so does anyone have a decent set-up guide for the futaba 520? and any help would be brilliant as im still trying to hover but at the mo i havent lifted more then an inch off the ground,

im a complete noob at this so any setting for the dx6i would be great i.e gain, rate, expo etc even tho the guy that helped me last night was great i still had my doubts because he set the tail to compensate rotor so i had no left stick until i noticed the pitch slider wouldnt hold centre!!!,

pls help guys if anyone has got the said combo (dx6i + gy520) how are they set up?

    thanks
    steve
