  • Linkage rods

Just a Q on pratical side of things ..

Putting together link rods ... if I take for example 2 sizes required ...these are quoted as sizes 55.1mmm (2) the 55mm (2)

I know that you must fit these with largest ball link size facing out ... so therefore minimum adjustment you can make is 1 full turn (so that largest sizes remain same side)

However one full turn = 0.4mm

So what is point of showing sizes like 55.1 you can't get that accurate ?

    These make up as ~55.18 ... I can't get any closer to 55 or 55.1 ?
as one full turn would take me down to ~54.78

So what is point is quoting size as 55 and 55.1 .... surly they should have quoted them both as same size ?
or am I missing something ?

Don't get too worried about it, the design of the servo is going to make more difference to the actual length of the rods as well, just get as close as you can then adjust to fit as we discussed in the other thread.

One thing though, the larger side of the link is the one that faces the ball.

OK ... just checked on the links sized and fited in first part of build ... they are correct with largest size facing ball .... lettering faciong out on single ended links.
Just made up the 9 links for the servo connection ... size & fit them tomorrow .... sure it's going to throw up loads of questions ..(don't go away )

I think I've managed to answer questions for you while in Dallas, Seattle, New York, Cologne and London, so 'going away' is not actually a problem

Just shout and I'll get back to you on anything X50 related. Fortunately there seem to be a few others flying this as well now so should be more help available if needed.
