  • Ok...Im bak from holiday..I still want a heli..Is this a good deal from fast lads?

HI all..Just been on the phone to the guys @ fast lads..said i want the whole caboodle. TX, Pheonix Flight sim, and heli....

He said for £645 i can get

    Trex450s
    giro g190
    HS65 servos
    LIme 2100ma
    DX6
    Pheonix.......

OK seems expensive but this would be ready to fly..whats your guys opinion..And from what i have read do i need to be getting a dx7 instead for future upgrades?

    thanks.
    Adam.

I don't know the gyro so can't rate it also what are they recommending as tail servo. you don't want to get one your gonna have to update in a few weeks.

also Im assuming the HS65's are the carbide gears not metal but its worth asking.

And personally I would go straight for the DX7

having said that Fast lads have always been good to me so its probably a reasonable price for what their specing

Upgrade the gyro - I'm sure the GY190 is not a heading hold gyro...

GY401 is what you really want.
              Cheers,

This doesnt look a bad deal from Fast lads.

                http://fast-lad.co.uk/store/product_...roducts_id=988

Trex 450SE Kit (Silver Carbon Version)
2170 Mah Flight Power evo 20 3S1P Lipo
                325mm V-Blade main blades
                3 X Hitec HS65 Servo's
                Futaba GY401 Gyro
                Futaba S9650 Tail Servo

to this you would have to add the DX7 and reciever plus a charger and maybe another battery.

but its a nice bundle that wouldnt need upgrading.

edit: I just realised it doesn't say its the V2. version of the 450 you would need to confirm that or not

Not a brilliant price,,the gyro is basic and the DX6 is a waste of money

I got a 450S for the other half all kitted out from Hong Kong with basic gear admittedly for £175 ready to fly minus TX,,coulda had a DX7 included for an extra £100 quid

I got the 450 se v2 kit from midland helicopeters plus a gy401(the one to have) with a for the tail 3154 and 3xHS65's for £465.

Got the charger and Revo lipo's for aurorra and the DX7(been to one to go for over the dx6) without servo's for £140 used but nearly new.

                      Total spend £719

Thre is not alot to building the se kit really and it will help you understand the setup side of your heli.

Theres always the forums when you get stuck, there never short on answers

ah..does it have to be 2.4 or something? what problem would that be?

well if its 2.4g that's good, but the RX that comes with it ant a 2.4g one.
so its more finding out to make sure you get a 35mhz set not a 72mhz set as that will be illegal to you in the uk
