Looking at your picture it seems you have the undercarriage on the wrong way round, the legs normally curve to the front of the heli, some people prefer it on the way you have it, but just thought I would mention it.

Don't let it get you down - i did that plenty times when i was starting out. Have you thought of having any flying lessons? The cost of a one hour lesson is around the cost of a set of blades so can work out cheaper in the long run .

my crash last year before and after shots

                  www.kevinhawksbee.co.uk

we had the technology to rebuild and carry on

dont let it get you down, says me who stacked his TREX 450 yesterday after its tail got caught in the grass and flip it over requiring a new tail boom and supports and vertical fin, new blade holders and head button.

yup sure was, all ive salvaged from that is a bunch of bolts a nearly unscathed knight head and tail gearbox 2 servos and,, nope that it really

wrote off a 611 gyro (still got the servo but its a dedicated one) all the servos were 9255's the two that survived had new cases and leads.
the hyper was just running in nicely, crankcase broken, hatori 522 about 2" shorter than it started out, and not enough left of the knight to bother to try and repair.

but im still here trying to get to grips with this hobby

How on earth did you manage that much damage ? where you practicing freefalling onto tarmac again ?

nope simple FFF and got disorientated, I was the opposite side of our field doing a fast pass as I had done countless times, these 50's really move when you want em too, about 20-30foot up I thought the blade disc was towards me I straightened it up unfortunately I think it was away from me so when I straightened it it actually flipped upsidown heading into the deck, I tried to rescue it got it the right way up but too late it hit bottom of nose and skids first and there you have the damage.

The bits that really do P**S me off are the loss of the 611 and the hyper 50. which ive never lost in a crash before.

I suppose the moral is keep to hotdogging and leave the gentle circuits alone LOL
