hi have been hovering my blade 400 around now for with training gear (sticks n pingpong balls) was thinking of taking them off ... do most people use these to start off been told they do sometimes make it more difficult as the heli isnt so balanced ... as long as i get landing right it be ok i supose on or off ???

If you've been landing gently and controlled overtime then tale them off, I used them once then took them off

      Off. Probably.

If you are thinking about it, then you are probably at a stage where they are hindering your flying. Most people want to keep them too long as a comfort thing.

When I had them on I remember crashing and thinking "what the hell happened there??". I landed normally, but a little hard and I am sure it would have been ok without the training gear on. I have seen others do the same. So the comfort is pretty false.

The sooner you can take them off the better. The heli will fly much better without them.

They are a bit like stabiliser wheels on kiddies bikes - they help you stop falling over at first, but also prevent you from progressing!

As soon as you can reliably pick your machine up and put it down straight, take them off!

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery.

Agree with taking them off, they caused my first crash with my blade 400 as they dug in the ground.

Defo take them off... Del took the training gear of my Raptor pretty quickly, and it transformed the feel of the helicopter. When you do, just concentrate on keeping the heli nice and level and landing gently and you will be fine!
If you can keep your head, when all others around are losing theirs - you have probably not understood the seriousness of the situation!!

Well done. Another milestone reached. When you hover with the heli pointing left or right try not to practice more one way than the other. I found pointing left much easier and I'm still trying to convince myself that right is just as easy.
