was wondering if we should change the name to REALLY FRIENDLY RC HELICOPTER COMMUNITY EXCEPT WALKERA.well i see things dont change lol, people come on here asking for advise on wot to buy, same same, get twin rotor or raptor, see a pattern forming, as soon as the walkera mentioned and even esky but in a lesser form, people start there usual crap dont buy they cheap, to hard to fly, its so funny and predictable. am am sure there are people who come on here looking for advise without you narrow minded people repeating the same rubbish.just like being back in school my toy better than yours lol.
ok so i am a builder and have limited time, work alot of weekends so dont have time to join a club, so thought what i need is a small electric heli to practise on.so i looked around and listened to advise from alot of people.
but i still went and bought a walkera lol. bought the df 60 with esc and brushless motor for £120. i wanted a rtf instead of starting with a load of jiffy bags like u do with the raptor and trex then having to buy all the electrics.
short comings of the df 60 is the electrics, having said that i havent had a problem, well they are easily upgradeble and could purchase a good tx which i could still use when i upgrade to a trex,
so was flying in my garden tonight, hover side hover, nose in hover, figure 8s still trying to think what the real critisism over walkera is.find it very stable so maybe u dont need to drive a ferrari to learn to drive maybe the escort will do as well.

you dont have to take the advice given,(even though its good. sound. free. advice) but sometimes you have to learn from other people's mistakes, as you dont have the time or money to make them all yourself

stumpy i think its great and i listen to any advise, and if i can offer any advise i will, thats what the forums all about but came on here once and mentioned i was buying a walkera and they just joked and said it was crap no advise given.sometimes people just want to start small i have no problem with the df 60 its no where near as good as the trex or raptor but its alot cheaper and is a good start, seen other threads with just saying walkera crap, they maybe , but mine flies fine so cant see why it a problem, dont mind advise if someone actually flew one but they havent, or explained why they crap.
why only a twin blade like the medivac or raptor wot about esky, walkera give people a choise.

if u get on with them thats great! we're all here to have fun!

however if people on here advise a cheap cp model like a walkera.
a couple of days later they come back saying "i put thottle in and it went staight into the dirt, i thought it was meant to be ready to fly and factory tested" now at least if they bought a coaxial it would give a much larger time to land before the blades are trashed. and they will end up learning the basics faster and cheaper

thus lowering repair costs which means more flight time and this = more enjoyment!

        thats my point of view!
        cheers,
        Tom

now dont get me wrong i can understand that but instead of a coaxial dont u think a cheaper cp rather than going straight for the raptor or trex, we all know rtf just means everythings in the box u need to fly, still needs plenty to set up, but when people come on here with a question about walkera they just told dont bother throw it away its crap.

most learners dont want to buy a kit and have to buy all the electrics its a daunting task for a newbie. so where is the middle ground for learners, coaxial is completley diffo to cp. so how are we supposed to learn to make the right choise if the advise is biased.

so all i was asking for was people not to be so crittical give people unbiased advise.

Hope you have great fun with your walkera.
Beware that because it doesn't have so many ball bearings etc it will get quite sloppy fairly quickly so keep an eye on the head parts and replace as necessary.
The "3D out of the box" claims are bit tall though!

Most posts regarding walkera come in for a slagging which is a bit harsh. Unless the post (seemingly) comes from a young female...then everyone was very nice.
            I found that so funny!

thanks for the advise moyesboy, didnt realise that, but did get 2 new complete heads on ebay for £12 lol so will replace when necessary, also they do a cnc head and tail the one used on the trex which removes all slop, but not sure if i will just hang on and upgrade to a trex when the time comes, thanks again.

ps i remember when the girl wrote in, how polite people can be lol.

              thanks again.
