Try adding about 30% expo to the aileron and elevator in either the Phoenix edit model section or in your transmitter.

Try to make very small corrections most people over correct and end up all over the place, also make sure you dont select the 3d version of the raptor its not as tame as the normal one, just be patient and you will get there in the end, just think each time you crash it could have cost you a fortune

Its a bit of a trek but why not have a Sunday over at Flyin Fish - NW London, end of the M40.

Get an hour or two with Dave, rappy on a training lead - it'll come to no harm and you'll get a propper feel for it, Dave will set up all your Expo, pitch etc and teach you why and how it all works.

It'll cost a few quid but 2 Hours with Dave is worth 2 months of sim and you'll go home buzzin !

          Best of luck.

Couldn't agree more. I'm completely new to this and had a 2 hour training session with Dave. From never flying a heli before ( other than crashing a tiny walkera repeatedly ) by the end of the two hours I was able to hover ( loosley calling it hover here ) and slide across the mown area and land again. Way further than I could have hoped.

I'm building myself a Phoenixtech TT360 and then once it's done I'm going back to Dave for it to be set up and another hour or so lesson on that with Dave on Buddy just to get my confidence.

OK it's not cheap paying for lessons, but then neither is learning to drive these days Those 2 hours with Dave are the best investment I've had in this hobby so far.

learning with the real thing cost me five minor crashes in the very early stages(cheapish on a blade 400) and i was using an msr for loads of orientation practice. i found that i could not hover in phoenix and to be honest, hated it. it only got used to mess about with planes. i just continued without it, an much preffered the real thing. i can now fly, not to fast and well within my limits without continually being scared and have not had an incident for a long time. i now feel the pleasure an not the fear, which is a great feeling, as afterall there should be more pleasure than fear in our leisure activaties. ironically, learning to fly the real thing has meant that i can now fly a lot better in phoenix. it has given me a new desire to keep on at phoenix to now push my limits while keeping the crash total at five.
without a doubt, phoenix is far less interesting in the early stages, and am msr wins the day,but once your in the air with your cp heli, feeling a bit more confident and beginning to consider the thought that you might now even be capable of going inverted one day, then phoenix is a must

Try dropping this down a bit in Pheonix:

                System\Program Setup\Physics

Simulation Speed - drop this down about 70-80% should help loads.
