Hi would a blade 120sr be a good stepping stone to my trex 450 sport that I am building up at the moment, to get the feel of flying around. I have plenty of sim time in and did fly a concept 30 20 years ago
Thanks
Paul
I'd probably get an MSR over a 120SR ( well I did ) if you want something smaller than the 450, then you can fly it in the house for orientation practice. More real than the SIM but you learn the sticks in orientations too. The 120SR is too big to learn in a house, but too small to use outside most of the time.
Just my 2p

I bought the 120 sr and found it really useful as a newbie while learning the interaction between Tx and Heli, I'm also a little braver when practising side on hover and nose in hovering also got the 450 pro which IMO is a good little machine as a progression

That's the thing I can do the sim well it only tuck me about 10 min to get to grips with it which I did not find to bad after a 20 year gap away from helicopters, it just like to get my eye in with the real thing before going for it with the trex 450
I tend to agree that if you are OK in the sim then you should be fine with the 450.
As for the 120SR. Well its not really a necessary stepping stone. But it is a dam fun little heli and certainly wont do your heli flying skills any harm
