  • Thanks -I'm Getting Somewhere

Just a quick post to say thanks to everyone who has given me advice over the past year. I'm self taught with your input!
Today was my first flying session after a month on a ship which is always nerve wracking but today i managed three batteries of good flying with my 450XL. I even managed a reasonable figure of eight (no nose in yet though!) without much trouble.
Sometimes i get frustrated and feel like i'm getting nowhere but hopefully today was a good omen of flying adventures to come.
The next stage is to get a bit of help and gain some confidence with my Moskito.
Also today the tax man was kind enough to refund me some of my hard earned money which has been spent this afternoon on a shiny 450SE V2 - wow can't wait.
Once again thanks for your help.

Glad to hear your getting on with it Chip.
I struggled 3 times over 5 years to try to fly helis on my own & sold up every time to go back to planks
Nobody at the club I was in (Bath Model Heli Club) was interested in buddy leading me & I wasnt confident enough to just go for it like some can. I then met up with Raptorite for some training & the heli world opened right up in front of me. If your thinking of getting lessons mate I'm sure he will be able to fit you in.
Check my Signature if you ever fancy a lesson he is very local to you & his field is at Clutton which is 8 miles west of Bath.

I have been in contact with Raptorite and should be getting some training in the next few weeks. Glad to hear it helps build up confidence because thats what i lack sometimes. Maybe i will see you down there. Hopefully i can then do justice to my Moskito.
