Dodgy covering on blades

Just did a hasty landing , up about 50 feet and hell of a noise . Covering on the blades slipped about an inch up it and tore off. The hole heli felt of balance.Lost about 50% of my collective for some reason.When it came down quick there was very little flare at the bottom. Moral of the story check your blades for any damage after every flight.
