  • Charging Li-polly batteries

    Hi all,

could someone tell me (as new to RC heli's and Lipo's) what mA I should charge my 1300mah 10C batteries at please?

    250mA
    500mA
    1A
    or higher?

    Thanks

You should charge at 1C so 1300 mah would be ideal
1 hour being the longest time DO NOT OVERCHARGE lipo's
And dont let them go below 3volts per cell
This is a very quick reply you can go into it all a lot deeper

      250mA
      500mA

Yes 1A is the most suitable setting on your charger, you must never charge above 1c but anything below will be fine

actually 1.5A would also be fine, it's only 15% above 1C so wouldn't do any harm.

On 1800mAh Lipo's, as 1C would equal 1.8A, is it ok to charge at 2A, or best to keep it at 1.5A?

              Thanks

You should be fine on 2A.
