  • can't work it out

As a beginner I bought a cheapie before I graduate to bigger and better, an Art Tech Mini wolf 4ch for £40, unfortunately I have had some issues with the seller, but that's another issue.

Anyway, on only its 4th botched landing, I heard a "pop" or muted "crack" when the blades hit the ground, expecting a broken blade I was surprised to see none.

So I placed the heli again, went to take off, and noticed only the bottom blades were spinning. I checked and both reduction gears were spinning. I then pulled on the top blade to see if there was any give, and sure it enough it slid out of the outer shaft, which I can only assume is connected to the bottom blades.

however, I can not see what is broken, so I need to know how the coax blades actually work. I assume one reduction gear powers the lower blades, which also has the outer shaft attached. And the second gear powers the inner shaft connected to the upper blades. However, the bottom of my shaft does not appear broken, and it looks like the photo of the spare too, so I can't work out what has failed and therefore what to order.

    Can anyone help please?

hi krisby welcome to the forum

ive not seen this heli but would guess

if have a look at the drive gear somewhere in the hub of it you will probably see a small screw or grub screw that pinches the shaft. just drop the shaft back in and tighten it up.
